J. T. Shannon Lumber Company’s Memphis operation is proud to announce Kirk Mills has joined the Sales Team with responsibility for the Southeast Territory. Rudy Weaver, Sales and Operations Manager for the Memphis Concentration facility, states “Kirk, brings a wealth of experience in hardwood lumber, but additionally over fifteen years of entrepreneurial experience in sales and marketing, operations, inventory management, distribution and manufacturing. He will contribute a customer-focused perspective as well as a high level of skills in identifying solutions for customer needs.”

Kirk received his Business Administration degree from the University of Memphis and served as a Lieutenant in the United States Naval Air Reserve. His experiences in the forest products industry were with Furrow Lumber in Collierville and the District Sales Manager with Boise Cascade’s Southeast U.S. District. Most recently he managed his own consulting firm in the Louisville, KY area. Kirk is an avid sportsman and enjoys the outdoors with his family. The Company is delighted to have the level of talent and ability which Kirk brings. He will be a strong asset to the Company and an advocate for our customers.
